Discover How To Control The Symptoms.

March 5, 2009

While menopause is a normal change in life that all women experience, the symptoms can be extremely bothersome. Some women are bombarded with these uncomfortable symptoms, and search out ways to help control them. Here we will discuss menopause and how to help control its symptoms.

Hot flashes are one of the most common symptoms of menopause. Hot flashes are also known as night sweats, but do not always occur at night. It is when your body becomes suddenly hot, so hot, that it radiates into the face and neck area. Very often the person suffering with the hot flash will sweat so profusely that the sweat will saturate her clothing. A hot flash is usually always followed by a chill, or cooling down period. To help control hot flashes effectively, a woman can add soy products or more fiber to her diet.

Vaginal dryness is another uncomfortable symptom of menopause. Research studies have shown that adding vitamin E supplements to their daily routines, many women have lessened, and even eliminated vaginal dryness all together. Vitamin E suppositories are available for menopausal women – these are inserted into the vagina. Vitamin E is also proven effective in aiding in the reduction, or even elimination, of hot flashes, as well.

There are numerous natural remedies to help in controlling many of the symptoms of menopause. Due to lack of hormones being produced in their bodies, many women will experience bouts of moodiness, and sometimes even depression. St. John’s Wart, which can be purchased at many health food stores, can often help with this. By adding a St. John’s Wart supplement to their daily routine, many women have reported being less irritable, less depressed, and even energized. Other supplements that can help with moodiness include kava kava and valerian.

Black cohosh is a very popular herb women use to help cut down on the symptoms of menopause. Black cohosh can help with hot flashes, cramps, and heavy menstrual bleeding. Research studies have also shown that black cohosh may even help prevent osteoporosis. Most research studies recommend you take black cohosh extract, and it may take two to four weeks before noticed results occur.

Like black cohosh, chasterberry (or vitex agnus castus) can help alleviate symptoms of menopause including hot flashes and vaginal dryness. In addition to these symptoms of menopause, chasterberry may also help with breast tenderness. Women have reported it taking up to four weeks to achieve noticeable results.

While the symptoms of menopause can be uncomfortable, bothersome, and irritating, there is hope. In addition to traditional hormone replacement therapy, many options are available to help lessen, or even eliminate the symptoms of menopause.

Learn How To Get Your Articles In the Directories Without Being A Spammer

March 3, 2009

Submitting articles to Article directories on the internet is an effective way to get more traffic to your websites.  There are a few problems with this system that I will point out so that you can become more proficient in this strategy.

The weakness of the article submitting techniques is that it is very time consuming.  I have submitted articles in three different ways: by Hand, and with Article Submitter and Article Submitter Pro software. Many directories require a login (ID and password) so each directory must be visited and a login established before submissions are accepted.

When submitting by hand, you have to cut and paste each section of the article into the individual directories.  There are a lot of sections; first the Title, then the Category (very important – I’ll get into this later), Author, Author email, Website Address, Keywords, Article Summary, Article Body, and About Author box.  That is nine cut and pastes to submit to ONE article directory.  If you wish to submit to 150-200 directories, a good part of your time is spent doing grunt work which does not allow you to pursue other avenues of traffic generation.

Now we come to the “semi-automated” submission software programs.  Yes, they are easier, some more than others, but you still must go to each directory individually. It is crucial that you select a Category for your article. If this is not done the article directories will know you are using automatic submitting software and will treat your article as SPAM.  Many directories especially frown on the “Automated Article Distribution Services” like iSnare, and Article Automater, for just that reason.  Therefore you will not be published and not only have you wasted your time writing your article but you may be classified as a spammer.

Within the “Article Submitter” Software, they have 138 auto fill and 25 manual fill directories listed.  A visit to a majority of the directories must be done first in order to establish a login. You have the option of adding other article directories on your own, which is a nice touch.

The software will open to a page that is a form for “User Information”.  Typical information requirements you would find in any sign up sheet like, name, company, email, website, etc. Then hit the tab for “Articles” where you will place the article for submission.  You will fill in the Title Section, Article Body (including About Author), Summary and Keywords.  Then choose the “Websites” tab.   You can “select all” or pick and choose. Click on “Auto Fill” and it will take you to your first directory.  A flaw here is that you can only have one article posted in the article section at a time.

Sounds easy, right?  Well with “Article Submitter” you must be very careful.  Once you have chosen your Category check each section.  This software does not always put the right information in the right box and leaves some boxes blank.  Again, if the directories feel you are using software carelessly they will delete your article.  The manual sites are just that, manual top to bottom.  It took me a full day for each article so it is still a time consuming process.

Then my partner found “Article Submitter Pro” which I just finished testing yesterday.  It is by far the easiest and quickest available at this time.  Set up is still a bit tedious, once again you have to establish your logins, but only once. And I found them much more accurate in filling in the necessary submission forms. Yes, you still must choose your Category but there is no getting away from that.

They have 780 Article Directories listed but there is a tab where you can mark your “Favorites”.  At first I was a little intimated but it is easy to follow and saves you a lot of time.  I submitted to over 150 directories in about 4 hours and that was my first time using the software so I was on the learning curve.

A plus on this program is that they have a pop up window that warns you if you have already submitted that particular article to a directory.  The directories consider multiple submissions SPAM and you will be deleted. Be careful not to hit the “Next Site Button” until after you have the confirmation that your article has been acknowledged.  If you accidentally push the “Next Site Button” the program will record that site as having received your article.

So that has been my experience with these three systems for submitting articles to the Article Directories.  I do not recommend hand posting – it is much too difficult.  I also don’t recommend the “Automated Article Distribution Services”.  A lot of directories refuse their articles.

For me the most convenient and least cumbersome was Article Submitter Pro for getting my articles out there to many Article Directories in the least amount of time.

Legal Issues at Start-Up

March 3, 2009

Legal issues at start-up are often confusing.  Mary times this will be your first foray into the business world.  There are two main places where legal issues should be explored with an attorney.

Legal Issues With Business Type

Before starting you business it is wise to discuss all of the legal issues surrounding the type of business you decide to open.  Sole proprietorships, partnerships, and corporations all have different legals issues that will have a bearing on your final decision.  Talking to a lawyer about your options is time and money well spent.

Legal Issues With Agreements and Contracts

The second area where legal advice is recommended is with putting together your contracts and agreements.  You should have your attorney review these documents, ensure they are binding, and discuss any legal issues that might arise from them.

You want these agreements to be enforceable and you want to avoid costly legal issues down the road. Have your attorney help you with legal issues regarding disclaimers, data loss and liability.

The Bottom Line on Legal Issues

Legal issues require a proactive approach.  Business start-up is the time to explore your legal options and work out the potential legal issues that you might face.  Decide what type of business you want to operate and then draw-up solid agreements and contracts. The time you spend early on will help you avoid costly legal issues down the road.

Legal Steroids – Another Alternative – Natural Body Building

March 3, 2009

For competitive body builders to build bigger muscles faster is a constant temptation but for the average non competitive body builder there is another natural option – natural body building. True it is a much slower process but the long term gains far outweigh the adverse affects that even legal steroids may have on your body over an extended period of time.

Steroids are usually used for a short duration of say 6-8 weeks with a substantial period of time elapsing before starting on the next course of steroids. It is not recommended that anyone take steroids on a continuous basis. This on and off program tends to produce short term spikes in muscle mass and muscle strength.

The advantage of natural body building is a slower but steadier increase in muscle mass rather than the peaks and lows of those on steroids. I am sure many of you have seen or heard of the affects on a body builder who stops using steroids – Rapid loss of muscle bulk and strength. The affects of steroids are fairly short lived and can result in some dramatic changes to both physique and health of a body builder.

Natural body building results in a steadier and more constant performance rather than the often times spectacular ups and downs of steroid induced muscle bulk and strength performance. When you achieve top results as a natural body builder you will be able to maintain your muscle bulk and strength for as long as you continue intense training without adverse affects on your general health.

You will not experience any dramatic muscle wasting that is many times seen in body builders when they stop using steroids. Loss of muscle bulk and strength are two of the most dreaded words for body builders. Natural body building will help most to avoid these pitfalls.

So why do people use steroids? Most of us are impatient creatures and want instant results so the steroid alternative is very attractive. Probably one of the most important factors that affect a person’s decision to use steroids or go the natural way is what is their reason for body building – is it just to look and feel better or are they in it for the competition.

So it is your call – you decide whether using legal steroids will benefit you and your objectives.

Or play it safe and go for the healthier, steadier natural body building program that will have longer term benefits for a healthier lifestyle – Its your choice.

Lingerie Buying Guide (Written For Men, But Can Be Used By Women)

March 3, 2009

So, you’re thinking about buying lingerie for the woman (or man) in your life. A well chosen gift of lingerie is one of the most romantic things you can do. It is an intimate gift which can make lady feel sexy and loved. Purchase the right gift of lingerie and odds are you’ll be invited to unwrap it later on. Choose the wrong lingerie and you will almost certainly live to regret it. This guide will show you how to choose the right gift of lingerie (the kind of gift that keeps on giving).

1. The lingerie is NOT for you

Yes, I know you think it’s for you. But, if she won’t wear it, then it’s a gift that neither of you will enjoy. So you need to choose something that she will like. How do you know what she’ll like? Just follow steps 2 and 3 below.

2. What’s the occasion? Or, not occasion at all!

Are you buying her lingerie for a special occasion – birthday, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, anniversary? A silky robe or sexy gown makes a great birthday or Christmas gift. For Valentine’s Day or your anniversary try a babydoll, camisole, chemise, or teddy.

Maybe you’re buying lingerie in order to to spice things up. Try giving her lingerie for no reason at all and see the reaction! Depending on her disposition you might want to try something in leather or vinyl. You can also play dress up with a sexy costume or corset.

Before you buy, you also need to think about how and where will the lingerie be worn? Is this an item that will be primarily worn in the bedroom, for your eyes only? Will she wear it under her everyday clothes? She might be willing to wear something that’s somewhat uncomfortable for a few minutes in the bedroom, but she won’t want to wear it all day long.

Don’t forget that sexy clothes are a perfect compliment to lingerie. They can be worn to a club or for a night on the town.

3. Lingerie recon mission

This is something most men can handle – a reconnaissance mission. Feel free to wear fatigues if it helps. You’re going to recon her underwear draw and closet. What are you looking for? On this mission you are searching for three pieces of intelligence – size, style, and color.

Part A – Size

First, you need to know her sizes. So, start by finding her bras. Look at the label. It probably says something like 34B or 36C. Just so you know, the number part is the size in inches around her chest just below the breasts. The letter portion represents cup size (the size of the breasts – A’s are smaller than D’s).

Next, try to find a slip, nightgown, or some of her current lingerie. Note the size – it’s usually small, medium, large, x-tra large, etc. Check a few different items and choose the size that appears most often.

Part B – Style

Now look through her current lingerie and clothes. What styles does she prefer? If all of her panties are briefs, she might not wear a thong (on the other hand maybe she’s just waiting for an excuse). If she’s never worn leather or vinyl you might need to introduce these type of items gradually. You can start with just panties or a bra. These are not too extreme and are inexpensive.

Part C – Color

Finally, note the color of her underwear, bras, and lingerie. Who cares about color you ask? Well, she probably does. Some colors might look better on her. Also, if you’re planning to buy her something to wear under her everyday clothes, certain colors (like red or black) might show through a sheer blouse. Having said all that, keep in mind that most women won’t buy themselves hot red lingerie – this is your job!

4. How much to spend?

Remember, cheap lingerie will make her feel cheap. The good news is that high quality lingerie does not have to be expensive. A basic camisole and panty set usually sells for less than $20. Whatever your budget, you can find something she’ll love.

5. Time to choose

Okay, you’ve gathered your intelligence and are ready to make a decision. You can travel to the mall and go to one of the large lingerie retailers. Or, better yet purchase online.

Lingerie Sizzle You Are Going To Love

March 3, 2009

If you are looking for a way to light up your night life, look no further than your local lingerie store or boutique. Simply changing your typical bed time clothing from a frumpy pair of shapeless pajamas to a sexy outfit that leaves little to the imagination can jump-start your love life! Your partner will be more than happy to show his or her appreciation once you appear in that next-to-nothing negligee that is stunningly sexy. If you are unaware what types of lingerie you have to choose from, look no further!

1.) Teddy’s – Get the 411 Now

If you think of a teddy as a cherished childhood toy, think again! No kid ever had a teddy like one of these (and if they did…their childhood was obviously better than yours!) A teddy is a one piece lingerie item, quite similar to a one piece bathing suit. Usually, the legs are high cut and can be a thong in the back. A teddy is much like a body suit. Usually, teddies are quite fitting, so you may need to ensure you have the proper size before buying.

2.) Baby Doll – Put some heat in your nights

Although the name sounds sweet, baby doll lingerie can run from the wholesome to the steamy. A baby doll is generally a very short night dress, often made from some wispy, see through material with a great deal of lace, ribbons, and bows. This piece of lingerie is loose fitting and usually sleeveless, but may have short flutter sleeves.

3.) Chemise – Sexy is as sexy does

Many individuals picture a chemise as the traditional piece of lingerie. This lovely piece of sleepwear can be used for sleeping, where the teddy probably will not last the night. A chemise can be made of any material and is a sleeveless, short night gown. Usually a bit more fitted than a baby doll, a chemise can be a simple cotton gown for hot summer nights or a sultry silk number for heating up the nights.

4.) Pyjamas – Not necessarily for sleeping anymore

Although pyjamas may not seem sexy numbers to wear to bed, think again! Pyjamas are nothing more than a top and bottom worn together as a pair. Slink into a superb pair of silk pjs and surprise your significant other in bed! A pyjama set is perfect for wearing around the house, so that you can display a bit of modesty outside the bedroom that the other types of lingerie usually do not allow.

Link Building Strategies That Work

March 3, 2009

There are a number of ideas about what are the best ways to promote a website and about the best ways to attract more visitors to a website. In my opinion, it is important to start up a link building campaign to increase the number of websites which have a link to your site on their site. This is one proven method which has been successful in achieving high rankings for many different sites, however there are some important factors to keep in mind when attempting to build up this link network.

If you have a new site and are desperate to achieve top rankings on the top search engines such as google, think again. Most of these search engines will probably not give your new site a high ranking until it has become established. This is where the age of the domain is important. You can not in reality expect to be placed in a higher search position than a site which has been around for eight years and which has been building up links, during this period. This is where patience is required, you should see your site as something which is going to be online for a long time and hopefully in time, some of the other sites that you are competing with will have dropped out etc.

This is the same attitude that should be applied when building up the number of backward links pointing to your site. Going from only a few, to a few thousand in a short space of time may not be the best idea. Regular increases are in my opinion the way to go and quality is just as important as quantity. Decide the ways in which you are planning to obtain your backward links and try to ensure that you obtain roughly the same amount each month, where possible of course. Over a long period of time this strategy is sure to pay dividends and your search engine position should steadily improve. You will then have an authority site, which all new sites will be aspiring to compete with. Like many areas of life we do not really want to wait for our success and want immediate rewards, such as high rankings. On some search engines this may be possible but on most it will require hard work and this type of patience.

The links that you obtain should where possible be from sites which are in a similar industry or subject matter, to your own site. This is a lot easier said than done however. If your site is very well written, optimised and of use to a large number of people, you may well receive links on other sites without the need to request the link. This is of course exactly what you want and is why it is important to spend time thinking of how your site is written and presented.

A good way of obtaining a link to your site is to write a reference or testimonial to owners of other sites with which you have had dealings with. Offer to write them this testimonial which of course will be of great benefit to them, on the understanding that they will include a link back to your site at the bottom.

I personally concentrate on obtaining one-way links as I believe these to have the most value. One way I do this is by writing articles such as the one you are reading. There are a great number of benefits of writing articles which can be read at most of the article directories such as ezinearticles. I would certainly recommend it to other people who are thinking of starting up a link building campaign.

Linking Strategies – Myth busted

March 3, 2009

Since Google’s Jagger update, during 2005, the internet has become a fermenting ground for pundits advising us on how and why we are going to be penalised by Google if we continue using tried and tested techniques that previously worked well.

Most of this advice is pure mythology. So, it is time to examine these myths and discuss why they are myths.

Firstly, let us be clear about one thing: everything said about how to improve Google ranking is theory, unless Google says it themselves. The problem is that some of the theories are just plain wrong.

Myth 1) Linking from link farms will get you penalised by Google. WRONG. It may well be that it does your website absolutely no good at all, but why should Google penalise a website when, if this were the case, a competitor could add links to your site from link farms? I do not believe that Google, or any other search engine, will penalise a site because of what an unscrupulous competitor may do.

Myth 2) Involving your website in reciprocal link trading will get your website penalised by Google. WRONG. There are legitimate reasons for sites linking to each other, therefore, why would a site be penalised for what may be a perfectly legitimate link exchange? Reciprocal linking does not carry anywhere near the weight it used to do, it has been downgraded by Google, but reciprocal links will not harm your website, and in fact, maintain some value, though much reduced.

Myth 3) If sites that are considered “Bad neighbourhoods” link to your site, you will be penalised by Google. WRONG. Webmasters have absolutely no control over who links to their site. It would be unethical for Google to penalise a site due to the actions of other third party sites.

So why does this confusion exist?

Most of what I’ve said above is self explanatory, but maybe a little more comment is needed on the subject of bad neighbourhoods.

Bad neighbourhoods are websites that have been penalised or banned by Google. If you link TO a bad neighbourhood site you are, in the eyes of Google, guilty by association. And may be penalised. But, as I’ve already said, if they link to you it is out of your control; they are associating with you, not you with them.

So how do I know if a website is a bad neighbourhood? Simple, first you need to download and install the Google toolbar. As, no doubt, you are already aware, the Google toolbar shows the page rank (PR) of any website you visit. If the website you wish to link to has a PR allocated you are safe. If the PR is zero, but the indicator bar is just a white background, then you are safe. But beware; if the indicator background is grey, this means Google will not even allocate a PR=0 to this site, you are looking at a bad neighbourhood website – do not link to this site.

General Considerations.

Although links from link farms will not get you penalised, they are of no value, so why bother?

Although reciprocal links have been downgraded, they still have some value. So, link wisely to related content sites only. The importance of the site linking to you will be of more value to your site than a less important site, but personally, I do not mind linking to a related site with a PR=0, it is probably a new site that is still in the Google sandbox, and may gain a high PR at some future date.

It is a good idea to periodically check whether the sites you are linking to are still safe – avoid greyed out PR indicators.

And finally, the best advice of all, generate one way links to your website. One way links are the most important links you can have. But even these vary in importance according to the PR of the linking sites, the wise use of anchor text, and the relevance of the linking page/site.

I will have more to say on that subject in a future article.

Linking Strategy – The Basics

March 3, 2009

Let’s clarify first, the basics of linking strategies. Then let’s take a look at how to use this linking strategy to have a high rank on the search engines lists.

Some elements must be clarified first of all: an outbound link is a link going out of a website. An inbound link is a link coming in from another site to yours. Reciprocal links are the links between two sites, often based on an agreement between the owner of the two websites. A link checker is a tool to check for broken links. Deep linking means linking to a web page other than a site’s home page.

Inbound links are sending visitors to a page from a website. It is a very good link, increasing the site’s traffic and fulfilling an important requirement for search engines algorithms. Outbound links are sending the visitors away from a website. Website owners are in very different positions facing the outbound links.

New windows can be opened, some are linking freely. For commercial websites, outbound links losing time and money. Outbound links can be a risk if the site is losing visitors and potential clients.

Other opinions are totally opposite: outbound links can improve the site ranking, increase the visitors’ number and there are also chances for the returns of many visitors.

As the web is becoming more commercial, deep linking becomes an important matter too. As the internet strength is to make a contact between a public document and information to another public document or information, the home page becomes very important to establish and maintain the brand and serving functions.

Deep linking is eliminating those advantages. There are also other opinions, consolidating the free modality to present information on a web site. A deep link is better than no link at all; an appropriate navigation structure can make the deep linking an advantage to clarity and functionality for a web site.

Reciprocal links are the result of an agreement between two site owners to have links to each other. The most frequent users of reciprocal links are the small/medium websites, searching for site’s popularity and willing to increase the site’s ranking.

Natural links extend a topic to a broader theme; they are always visible. Artificial links are adding value to the site’s owner, support a third party, but not the visitors. Artificial links, if they are illegitimate, are hidden from visitors. If artificial links are legitimate, they are at the bottom of the pages, usually places outside the primary areas of a web page.

By joining a linking directory, you are on your way to getting a higher page ranking. To avoid all possible penalties from Google or other search engines, go to:

You cannot forget about the good ol’ article directories. These directories are a vital source to a higher PR. You just have to insert your link somewhere in your article, as well as the Resource Box. To start submitting your articles to these directories, go to:

If you are already submitting articles, but are tired of spending so much time submitting one article to several directories, you may want to consider an automatic submitting software. This software will submit your article to over 30 directories in half an hour. To watch a video on how this is accomplished, go to:

Living With Menopause

March 3, 2009

Some women will say that menopause is a natural experience and quite enjoyable. Most women will not agree. The symptoms of menopause can be confusing and difficult for both women and everyone around them. Diet and exercise can help women ease them into the next stage of their life and it really does make a difference.

Many women go through menopause without even knowing or understanding what is going on with their bodies. The number of eggs in women’s ovaries decreases and estrogen and progesterone levels waver and then decline. Periods will be irregular for a while (different with all women) and then stop altogether. Because of the drastic hormone changes, women’s bodies go through various side effects.

Menopause side effects aren’t your everyday headaches and cramps, but instead women could suffer some serious health effects. Weight is usually redistributed and will go straight to the stomach. This is why an exercise program is encouraged. There is also an increased risk of heart disease and osteoporosis. Consuming extra calcium can help prevent osteoporosis. Cholesterol levels also rise in many women.

Symptoms of menopause that most women can expect to experience, whether mild or severe, include hot flashes, insomnia, anxiety, fatigue, mood swings, frequent urination, vaginal dryness, and even depression in some cases. There are conventional medications that can be taken to boost your estrogen levels and help minimize symptoms. One of the best ways to enjoy a healthy, happy menopause lifestyle is by eating a nutritious and healthy diet.

During menopause it is important that you keep in close contact with your doctor and schedule regular check up appointments. You will need regular physical examinations and regular Pap smears as a precaution. After menopause, be prepared to have a mammogram every year or two after the age of 40, and then annually after 50. Try and schedule a screening for colon cancer about every three to five years and a cholesterol check every three years as well. While most of these check-ups and screenings are only preventative and precautionary, it is still a good idea to have them done so as to ensure your health. Because women have a tendency to be plagued with osteoporosis and bone deterioration, some doctors will suggest an ultrasound of the pelvic area to measure bone density.

All women will have a list of questions to ask both before the menopause process starts, during the transition, and afterwards. It is important that women stay well informed about the changes going on in their bodies. One of the easiest ways to do this is stay in close contact with your doctor, and if you have embarrassing questions, ask him anyway, he’s probably been asked the same thing before.
